Appliance Post Op Instructions

Your child may experience slight discomfort or pressure around tooth’s gum tissue where bands were placed.

Warm salt water rinses and extra brushing around area could help healing. Your child may need help cleaning around it.

Your child will need to avoid sticky and extremely chewy foods, such as taffy, caramel, or gum. It can pull and/or distort the appliance, making it come loose or possibly breaking it.

If your child’s appliance comes loose, please save the appliance and make an appointment as soon as possible to have it recemented.
